I think this is my first post at NSN Fauna gallery, I have posted several times at NPN.

This is a photo from my last weekend trip to Presqui'le Park in Ontario. I was watching shorebirds, when a group of 4 young males decided to run through the beach an a nearby island. I quickly managed a few shots. I was handholding and the original is not razor-sharp, but for running animal it is I hope acceptable. It was also late evening and I am not 100% sure about side lighting ...... comments of course welcome.

Thanks for posting here at NatureScapes in FFM. I enjoyed your work in the other world and hope to see more here. Good catch on this image. Sure it would be nice to have the light on the other side, but probably nothing you could do about it. My personal opinion is that it is sharp enough for an animal with implied movement, the foot is raised after all.. I like the velvet on the horns and you certainly demonstrated why they are called WTD>. Thanks again for your contribution.

This is nice. Different lighting like this is sometimes more dramatic. A very tough exposure to figure for film. I assume this was digital, right?
Great catch!

Welcome to NSN FFM forum, Nice action shot Fero. I agree the lighting is dramatic here and you did not blow out any of the highlights. I would have been happy to have this in amongst my shorebird images.

Great catch Fero. Like the side lighting, and the sense of movement is good too. Well done.

Thanks all for your comments. It was a bit oversharpened on the neck (~1/3), the flexibility of RAW allowed for adjustment. I forgot the technicals for this image, here they are: EOS 10D + 400/5.6L, ISO 200, 1/200 f5.6, -1/3, handhold but I pressed myself on a nearby wooden pole.
