Grizzly Bear -age 6 mo (captive)
Wild Eyes Game Farm, Columbia Falls, MT

I thought I would make my first contribution to the Youth motif with a favorite shot of mine from the second photo workshop back in 1995. We had photographed this cub the day before down by the river but were fortunate that the owners were willing to bring her back out when we requested a shoot with her among the yellow flowers.

Nikon N90s with 300 f/4 on tripod, Sensia 100 (I think)

Very cute cub Cheryl. The surrounding yellow flowers do a lot for this image. BTW, congrats on your appointment on NSN! I will look forward to your moderation.

Yellow flowers, open mouth, turn of the head = major league cuteness alert! :) Very nice.

Very impressive image, and what a great way to start the theme of youth. In particular, beyond the obvious cute factor, I really like how engaged the eye and catchlight is as an anchor to the image.

Cheryl this is priceless. I really think its great. The yellow flowers and nice light are a big bonus. This image forced me to recall a conversation I had with you recently about readiness in general.. and that you definitely are. Thanks for posting moderator!

You're in serious "Awwww" territory with this one -- no nits, just kudos and congrats.
