Captive. Taken with the McDonalds (and Triple D) this past spring near Zion NP. Taken about the same time as the Prairie falcon posted in Avian. I have much tighter shots, but when you have the animals in this type of environment, you've got to get the environment in too.

Haven't posted much of late since my home cable has been out since June and telephone connection is spotty. But after being given a hard time this weekend :) I had to try posting something.

1Ds, 100-400 at 400 at 150, 1/1250 at f11 and about a 15% crop at the bottom.

If you saw this cat in the wild, you would be a lot more likely to get a shot like this than a close up anyway. The enviroment really does add to this shot and I like the placement of the bobcat in the picture. Thanks for sharing. I am glad to know I can be so persuasive...

Cool shot Rich, and I really like the placement as well. This is getting me fired up for Triple D in about three weeks now. If you need helping keeping Cheryl in line, let me know... Thanks for posting..

Very nice shot Rich. I like the layered look to the BG and the excellent composition.
