Cute little gal and nicely exposed. Cropping most of the sky would improve the image. Technically this is an Easter Fox Squirrel. Foxtail must be a local name.

All I Have Ever Heard Them Called Was "Foxtail", Thanks For The Correction!! I Like the Way The Branches Forked & Framed Her... But Appreciate Your Point Of View And Will Try A Crop Or Two....

Thanks

Very cute pose and the exposure is right on. I too would crop out a good portion of sky to further focus on the squirrel.

John
Thanks for posting. Usually for me subject smack in the middle of the frame doesnt work but I think it is very successful in this case because of what you noted: the Y branch frames the subject with the tail draping to the bottom of the frame... I guess I would go with less sky as well just because it is so much lighter and our eyes are attracted to it.. Thanks for posting in FFM, keep 'em coming John..

Well I Guess, Everyone Likes Alittle Less Enviroment... hee,hee
No All Kidding Aside, The Crop & Resize Is Good!
I Like The Forked Branches & The Sapling Brach Framing The Lady...
So I Cropped As Close, To Still Leave The Framing Aspect....
Hope This Is What You Had In Mind.

Thanks....

I second the second photo. Nicely exposed squirrel despite the tricky bright sky behind it.

Thanks E.J. And Joseph.... I Like The Crop Version Also. Most Of the Time I "Do" Like To Include Eviroment As Much As Posible... But Do & Can Stretch In A Bit Sometimes.... I Like the Term "Intimate"...

Thanks Again...
