A close crop of an image that originally included MOSt of both bears but clipped their fannies, so I cropped it.

EOS 1v, Provia 100f, Canon 500 f/4.5 lens, exposure specifics not recalled.

This photo causes me to stop and consider what exactly these bears have in mind as they confront each other. The tight crop looks to be an excellent choice here and both the composition and the scene itself more than compensate for the minor deficiencies in the subjects themselves. I very much enjoyed this one.
