This is one of the most photographed locations along with Wilpena Pound which is a natural amphitheatre formed by two ranges with a small gap at one end. Being there for sunset is the done thing but when traveling here in the springtime the park can close if it gets only a little rain. The rain was due later in the day so I had to settle for a morning shot. It is fascinating country though. if you look at the large view you can see all the folds of the mountains, the colours are remarkable in good light. I will be returning to the flinders to try and get more shots in great light. I think it will take a few trips.(:

An impressive view Kim. Despite "not" being there for the prime time, the kiss of light on the far hills is a very nice and welcome touch. Nice one.

Beautiful scene, I like the composition with the road leading into the images, the sun spots in the background and the clouds in the sky.

Lovely light, in any case. The curved road is a great compositional element, and the mountains look beautiful! Can't wait to see more!

An excellent landscape, Kim. The distant sunlight is very effective, here. Looks like a great back road to travel along.

Stunning scene - can see why it is a hotspot - and well worth several visits ;)

Lovely composition with the winding road leading to the mountains in the BG - nice one!
