An old slate mine in Little Langdale, Cumbria. I heard that they would normally collapse the mine once it had served its purpose, but for some reason they left this one alone.

Really an incredible image, the texture of the stones seems almost drawn with colored pencils.

Incredible! At first I thought it was sketched. What’s the story with all the colors?

I believe what determines the colour are the type of minerals that are in the slate.

Fascinating view into this abandoned slate mine, Peter! Amazing textures and colours in the remaining rock structures.

Eye candy. Just wonderful.
A great photograph is absorbed by the eyes and stored in the heart.
