England surely has more than its fair share of stunning cathedrals...which make welcome pitstops of artistic respite on the long road up to Scotland and back again. One of our favourites is Ely in Cambridgeshire - a definite must see.

This brings back a load of memories!  I went to school in Ely for five years, and yes, the cathedral is indeed beautiful.  Excellent composition for this majestic building.
