Stitched image using Nikon D500 and Nikkor 60mm macro ;)
We were photographing Spring Snowflakes lower down in the valley.... hence the macro lens.
B&W conversion using SilverEfex.
Thanks for stopping by.
Stay safe and have a great WE.

Superb treatment. Would imagine this looking superb hanging on a wall. Very nice, and an image that just makes you want to be there. Well done.

Superb! Works so well in B&W with those strong contrasts. Love the light coming from the right. It would look great covering a whole wall! High res view a must to see details. Pretty amazing for a macro lens too. ;)

An extraordinary image, seen at large, seems to look out from a window on the landscape. The conversion to black and white is very successful.

Very nice pano - feels just a tad truncated on bottom to me and the trees seem just a bit blocked up in black - likely looks much better a bit bigger when more detail is visible.

Dear Dave, Mary, Cindy and EJ - thank you all for taking the time to reply - much appreciated.
EJ - to your comments - I agree it would have been nice to provide a bit more support at the base of the image - the truncation was due to lens constraints - in hindsight I should have taken 2 rows of images for the pano stitching process.
On my monitor, the fir trees seem fine, with sufficient detail in the PSD file. Loss of detail and image depth may be due to the jpg conversion - I'll have to pay more attention to that in future.

It all comes to life when you view the high res version - but I'm not sure about the b/w choice for this scene. It would be nice to compare with the natural colour image. IMO

Thank you Carol - the image was pretty monochromatic to start off with - no epic mix of clear blue skies and white clouds - so I elected to complete the conversion to B&W.

I'm sure you had good reason, Sinuhe and I'm just a dinosaur when it comes to b/w for nature and landscape images.
