It is always a pleasure visiting this grove of centuries old oak trees - it really puts our comparatively short lifespan into perspective!

Image made with ancient Nikon DSLR and lens.

Have a great WE, folks!

Wonderful fall landscape, very beautiful composition with the point of interest on the tree carved out by time.

The remains of the old tree at the front looks like a perfect owl roost, and I love the play of sunshine and shadows through the ancient oaks and golden autumn leaves. I am drawn through the foreground shade and onward towards the sunshine beyond! Beautiful scene and even more so in your link to the larger file.

Have a great WE, yourself!

Worth a click! Wonderful mood and beautiful play on light and shadow. I feel like it must be a place to meditate -to wander around in wonder, perhaps. Beautifully done!
