Taken from a higher vantage point from atop a crater. Too many distractions on either side so this was the best angle I could find to isolate the mountain. Any longer zoom lens lost the window. After several attempts I chose this.
Better to view here
Thank you for taking a look & suggestions.

What a wonderful idea, AnnaMaria. Trimming the blue sky off of the top would make the brick frame more prominent. The mountain and clouds look terrific. Very nicely done!

As this is the Travel gallery, AnnaMaria - can you please tell us where this is?

Really a great idea how to turn a nice shot into a very interesting image. I'm not sure how it would look with the sky cut off above the top of the wall but it may be worth taking a look. If not for the slight angle I would definitely be for cutting the top off. In any event this is a terrific job of seeing things out of the box and getting a very nice result.

Thankyou AnnaMaria, and Alan.  much appreciated. :)

Personally, I like your image as posted - it shows you are looking through an actual 'window' .  If you cut off the sky. it could just be one of those added photoshop picture frames.   My 2 cents worth.

Interesting view- quite unique! I don't mind the sky at the top, but it is a bit puzzling until you know the context. The mountains are quite something!

Thanks all for your comments/suggestions. I did try a crop and it did look like a generic border from PS. I think the sky adds to the abstract look.
