My brother and I were in Ray Benson Sno-Park on January 31, 2013. I was snow-shoeing and he was on cross country skis but, good younger brother that he is, he'd only get a short distance in front of me on our trail and then wait for me to catch up.

As we got to the north blowout shelter the cloud layer that had covered the view of Three-fingered Jack parted enough for me to take this shot.

If I hadn't been so tired at that point I might have noticed and changed the ISO but I still like the image.

Here's the larger image:

Thank you for sharing.  Enchanting scene, enhanced by the effort needed to get there.  A credit to you.

This takes me back to some of the winters during my ten years living in the north east of Scotland, Mike!  These snow drifts look very familiar.  Thanks for bringing back the memories.  :)

Impressive shot and story. Love seeing that icy mountain in the clouds- it really helps to tell the story of ice and snow. Very cool!
