Part of the package of my European tour was a cruise on the Rhine. I enjoyed looking at the shoreline with its vineyards and old edifices as well as viewing the ship traffic on the river.

I believe we were told that the castle-like structure (top left in this image) was a hotel. I'm not sure if it's modern construction made to look old or if it was an old structure converted to a hotel .. no matter, I think it adds to the image.

Here's a larger image:

Nice job of composing this image, and I agree that the “castle” is an important feature. A beautiful scene!

Well composed, Mike - the castle or whatever it is does balance the frame nicely!

Nice view-beautiful contrast with the church and the whatever-it-is!
