Marco Island Domes

These Domes off Marco Island, Fl were once a vacation home to an eccentric millionaire. Hurricane Wilma destroyed the shore they were built on and they are now quickly being swallowed up by the sea.

This scene makes me think of the aftermath of the apocalypse....... and the insane things that man creates as a blot on the landscape! Le t's hope the sea removes them sooner rather than later. Certainly a thought provoking image, Jayson.

That’s interesting. A nice capture showing the decaying dreams of an eccentric. Glad nature is cleaning up.

Such an interesting photo and story! I really like how you got the sun shining through this bizarre structure. To me the domes look like R2D2 s marching along, though a bit decrepit! Or maybe rusty ladybugs....
