Having lived on the Canadian prairie in the heart of farm country my whole life, this is probably the most mind-blowing field of canola I've ever seen.

That's got to be one happy farmer!

Tech: Nikon D850, Nikkor 70-200mm @ 130mm, f16, 1/20 second, ISO 31, five vertical frames focus stacked and stitched to panorama.

Hey John, Thanks!

What part of the province are you in? This field is between Drumheller and Beiseker. Lots of beautiful crops out there.

I love the vastness of this view and the clouds and shadows, with a single tree for accent. Not sure if this belongs in Travel & Culture?

Beautiful shot. I like the warm ground based portion of the shot offset by the cool horizon and cloudy sky.

Thanks so much Cynthia!

I'm sorry if I've posted this in the wrong gallery... maybe I'm confused of the parameters for each category?

Thank you EJ. I don't normally shoot midday, but this field was too good to pass up. :)

Human elements are generally not allowed in Landscapes.
Landscape posting guidelines are detailed under the tab "announcements" in the main landscape gallery.
You will note it states that crops are not suited for the landscape gallery.

My apologies for not seeing that! I'll read those guidelines a little closer next time!

Thank you so much Yun! I was lucky to find this amazing field before the bloom was over!

Cheers,

The perfect image. The calm foreground against a furious sky, the green tree in a sea of yellow, and cropped to the perfect ratio. Love it!
A great photograph is absorbed by the eyes and stored in the heart.
