the black church on the snaefellsnes peninsula in iceland. the original black church that sat in this spot was demolished awhile back as the congregation declined. the current structure was rebuilt in the 1980s.
i visited the church with this shot in mind early on in my trip last september. the sky wasn't cooperating and i got a shot of the church from the other side of the building with some clouds overhead that could be best described as meh. i was lucky to have some extra time at the end of my trip and decided to hit the snaefellsnes peninsula again. this time the clouds were great and i got the shot i was hoping for. fuji 50r & 32-64mm @ 34.4mm 1/125s, f/8, iso 200 |
