Cape Horn is the furthest south in South America that yo can get.  Only about 1/2 of the groups wishing to land get to accomplish this due to rough seas.  We were lucky in that the seas were pretty calm.  After landing, you have to climb 160 steps to the top of the atoll.  Once up there you can only walk on the boardwalks provided.  This is for safety and preserving the environment.  In this image my wife, Gail, is in the foreground walking to the memorial to those sailors who lost their lives wrecking in the area.  Thanks for looking.

A wonderfully dramatic view with great perspective, and a nice story as well. This must have been a wonderful trip with many magical moments-it is a pleasure to follow you and your wife on this journey.
