A very short stop at a village/tourist bus stop in Germany was frustrating to me because I wanted more time!

I was in the mood to try to get to the bridge above the castle for a much better POV. However, that was not to be. We had a few minutes to gaze up at the edifice and make a few snapshots. I have one other landscape oriented image and several portrait oriented shots of Neuschwanstein but just because there's a paraglider in the sky above the castle in this one I'm posting it.

I really wish I could afford to go back to Europe again to reshoot some of the places I saw when I was there 12 3/4 years ago but, c'est la vie.

Wonderful image. I love this castle. I agree, you deserved more time at this location.

Ed, Cynthia, and David:

If I win lotto I'll make it happen! (spending more time at the castle).

Alfred,

Thanks again for the kind feedback.

These old castles are really so pretty they evoke thoughts of fairy tales and magical times, Mike - the setting is quite stunning. The presence of the tiny paraglider is a great sign of the times in this lovely view!
