Pigeon feeding in the park

On the way to the Galapagos, you need to stay overnight in Ecuador, just the way flights are set up.   

Decided to spend an extra day getting to the islands and look around Quito, was not disappointed.  Took several tours with the one to the equator line being the most interesting.  

In a walk around the town square found some little girls feeding pigeons vigorously, they were really into it !!!  This one for I don't know what reason decided to grab a bird.  I don't know who was more surprised :)

Very cute! And yes-quite a puzzle- little kids like to grab things, I guess....must have been very tame. (The bird, I mean ;) )
