I wonder how many times Nelson Mandela looked at this view and longed to be back on the mainland..... Its nice to see it in hopefully better times, Gavin.

Robben Island really is a bleak, windswept place. I think that the chances are rather good that he would very seldom have been able to see a view like this, as he would have spent most of his time in the main prison building or the quarry, neither of which offer a view of Table Mountain.
