Sometimes, it's interesting to take the famous sites (sights?) and do something a bit different with them...

Canon 5D2.  Probably with 24-105 Mk II.  On a tripod.  (After lugging my giant GT3541XLS  with Acratech levelling head and BH-55 on previous trips, I specifically bought a travelling tripod (by Photoclam) for this trip and put my old Acratech ballhead on it.  The weight difference is remarkable!

That's quite the unique view. Really brings out the structural elements in an interesting way-it's sort of a puzzle- which way is up? :)

Oh what a tangled web we weave, at least from this angle............ The Eiffel Tower is certainly more aesthetically pleasing from a distance, Paul - to my eye, anyway. :)
