I would have rather photographed this in the evening as the little village would have been more lit-up including the restaurant at the bottom but this area is very much like San Francisco where every night the fog rolls in and it begins to clear in the early morning hours which is when I got this shot.

Well it works for me- all the sparkling lights really bring this to life as well as the beautiful colors in the water and dawn sky. Interesting to see the massive rock in the foreground-it looks like the village was carved out of a similar rock, almost like a sculpture. Such an enchanting sight.

What a view!  When my eye travels from the dark foreground cliffs to the illuminated village in the pre-dawn light, the houses and streets bathed in the glow of the streetlights take on the appearance of molten lava.  Its almost like looking at a volcano!

They call Las Vegas, the city that never sleeps.........I shall start thinking of you as the photo genius that never sleeps......

I like how this gives the impression of an isolated village carved out of the rocks--with the foreground cliffs and the fog obscuring whatever lies beyond. The contrast of the warm lights of the village against the cool colours elsewhere is wonderful.
