Aztec Pueblo, New Mexico

Here’s one of the buildings at the Aztec Pueblo in New Mexico. The logs sticking out of the wall would have supported the floor on the second story of the building. Because of the condition of the building, there’s no way to tell if it had a third floor. Three story buildings existed at many pueblos.

Interesting story- it would be nice to see this larger with more of the details you refer to -not sure what the black bars are about.

Love the NM pueblos. Unfortunately this is posted too small to make any kind of determination of the photograph.
