Rockport, Mass. Foggy Morning

This is a beach I used to visit often when my in-laws lived there-Old Garden Beach, it's called. Rather a nostalgic picture as they are gone and we don't go there any more.
I don't take many landscape photos-all comments welcome. Please click for a better version.

The fog and incoming waves create a special mood in this image, possibly playing off of the nostalgic feeling it left you with, Cindy. I think I can see a stone wall on the left, perhaps framing the garden for which the beach was named. A beautiful black and white conversion. Happy New Year. :)

Nicely composed and you certainly caught a very evocative mood with the conditions on the day - very befitting the many memories and mixed feelings that this scene must cause you. There's lots to draw the viewer in, even without an emotional connection and I think you did very well here!

You've really captured a gloomy mood with this one. Kind of the mood that the weather is doing here today - coldest day of the year on the last day of the year.
