EOS 1D, 28-70mm @ 37mm, ISO 200, f/5.6, 2s

This was my first commercially successful image taken with a digital camera after my switch from film just a month before.  It was taken in 2002 with the 4 megapixel EOS 1D and the old 28-70 f/2.8 lens that predated the first 24-70mm lens.  Today, a 4mp image cropped to a 4:3 aspect ratio resulting in just a bit over 3mp is almost not viable.  But the advent of Topaz AI Gigapixel has given it new life as a 15 megapixel image and I can tell absolutely no degradation at the pixel level.  I've reprocessed this in Capture One Pro 12 and Topaz Studio followed by AI Gigapixel to get me a photo that can still be commercially viable in 2018.

This looks outstanding. Should make my old 10 D images (my first digital camera) look good as well. Might also help with my more modern cameras in allowing more cropping. I'll give it a trial. Software is getting more and more amazing!

No wonder it was successful! Just as appealing today as it was then. Beautiful scene, expertly taken and presented. Love it!

Agree with the other nice comments. Lovely photo. I enjoyed reading and learning about how powerful new software programs are.
