Still life on Carson Street in Carson City, NV.

A couple of month ago I tried my hand at shooting night scenes handheld with a manual prime lens. Worked out quite well.

A great photograph is absorbed by the eyes and stored in the heart.

I can't decide if this looks cozy or a little ominous. It really only works if you click on the enlargement, where the details are very interesting. This picture seems to have 2 distinct moods-the left and right sides. on the right is a rather mysterious dark....building? Reflection? The left is a bit more friendly, but the overall feel is one of mystery. Well done!

You definitely need to click on this one to get the full picture, the compressed view really only shows the left side in any detail. Not feeling this one, Jens.

An awesome street scene with lots of character!
The darker right side adds all the more....to invite the viewer into the doorway...and the café.
I like it.

It was the light/shadow mix that made me take this shot. I think even lighting would render this scene boring and unattractive.
