Motif - St. Nick

Velvia 50, Polarizer, f/22 (or f/32, whatever the minimum aperature was at this focal length), either 0.5s or 0.25s (Ishot some at each, and I don't know which batch this was in). 28-80 lens. Tripod. I used Velva with a polarizer to get as slow a shutter speed as possible under the lighting conditions, since I don't have an ND filter.

St. Nick is the name of the wave, on the Kananaskis River, west of Calgary.

Like Ken, I think I'll stick to flat water. The curves in the wave, and the contrast between the earthy colors and bright boats are really nice. You really captured the movement well here.

Very cool shot! Great choice of shutter speed, the static subjects are just sharp enough, with lots of movement on the moving subjects.

Note to self: If Paul invites me on a boating trip, he doesn't mean a nice row across the lake photographing loons....
