Not your usual B&B, we came across this old manor house on our travels a few years ago.  The original house was mentioned in the Doomsday Book, burned down in 1800, and was rebuilt in 1862 - the building you see here.

Beautiful house in the lovely county of Dorset, England.

It is a beautiful house and I think this image shows its charm. It seems so peaceful there. What was the interior like?

Thanks Lana, peaceful it was!  I would call the interior 'charming' and like stepping back in time.  Click the link and see some more detail.

Wow- looks absolutely elegant. (The view in the brochure is stunning too.) i love seeing "your" England-there is just nothing quite so ancient and venerable where I live.

What a super B&B, Carol. After reading the breakfast menu and the other information in the link you provided, I’d love to experience all they have to offer.

I love the style of many of these English houses, and the gardens too! Pure wonder!
