What a lovely, serene scene, with the dock leading the eye into the boats and on up to the gorgeous mountains. I love the stillness and reflections- just a faint ripple in the water. The orange gate on the far right might be a touch distracting, but it is quite nicely balanced by the bright colors in the boats and buildings beyond so that it is hardly noticeable. Matter of taste whether to tone it down or not. Either way, a very charming and peaceful scene. Be sure to click on this for a fuller view!

What time of day was this taken? So quiet!

Thanks Cynthia for the comments. Believe it or not, this photo was taken in the late afternoon. I was in Lofoten - the photo is of a fishing village called Henningsvaer - in late May and really got luck with the weather. Had perfect, sunny, calm days and given that it was ahead of the summer, tourist season, it was empty!

Good perspective and a nice clear reflection in the almost still water. On first look the light seems rather flat, but a click for the uncompressed view brings out the nice detail and the odd splash of colour.

I like the bird generating rings in the water next to the pier. A beautiful photograph and a fine reflection in calm water.
