We have some incredible, amazing, violent storms here on the
S. Oregon Coast, and we love watching them. We are in a little cove, so many of the storms pass at a distance out to sea with little or no rain right on top of us.  Some great photo opportunities, if I can set up quickly enough....

"StrikeFinder" software utilized

For reference, the light at the end of the jetty is 12 feet tall.

What a sight, Sandy! Great capture of the lightening. I like that you can still see the yellow sky, and the way the storm is coming in. Very dramatic and exciting! Pretty amazing to be able to see this from your home.
