Pigeon in Pink

Pigeon Point - California
a7R III, 24-70mm @ 66mm, ISO 100, f/4, 30sec 
After visiting this location in the evening and after seeing Cynthia's comments I went back a few days later in the early morning and did find a vantage point where the top of the mini stack didn't touch the horizon.  Literally a minute after setting up when it was still quite dark (see exposure info) the sky and the whole scene went pink for a couple of minutes before turning orange, yellow and then blue...

Wow- that's gorgeous! Much improved view-glad you went back. Such beautiful color. I like this perspective and composition very much! Very balanced and still a good look at the lighthouse. I think this is my favorite of the 3.

Perfect angle on the mini stack and that early pink light is beautiful.  A great collection of images to show some of the variety of views that can be achieved at the same location. :)

Sometimes it pays to go back - glad you did - superb image - wonderful colours.
