Ponytail Palms - Mounds Garden, Palm Beach, Florida
a6000 - 665nm, 12mm, ISO 200, f/11, 1/100s
On my recent visit to the central and south Florida coast (Atlantic side) I took my 665nm IR converted Sony a6000 coupled with the tiny Voigtlander 12mm lens which made for an excellent hand held combo for IR shots.

Not my cup of tea ( I do wish I could get my head around IR images!) I must just be a dinosaur but I do like to see nature in all her natural colour palette glory.

I can see, however, that the composition, depth and detail are amazing!

I'm not an IR shooter either, but I think those unusual palms are great subjects for the medium; they take on an otherworldly appearance.

A very good observation, Gary.  Otherworldly it is, and E.J. does the medium proud!

Wow- surreal! So many textures and shapes. I don't know why, but something about this makes me think of Dr. Seuss....hope that doesn't come across as an insult! I just have this picture in my mind of some Seuss character....

Anyway- great job with IR!
