An old tomcat in the old mining town of Cerrillos, NM last year. He was hanging out in this nicho in a wall and looked mighty tough to me.

A sweet image and beautifully done Joe - and yes, he does look a tuff tom! but I would love to see more of the building/setting where you found him to give me more of a feel for the place he lives in to fit in with the Travel/Culture theme.

Very Santa Fe. I almost think it would be better if the cross beams in the window were removed. But it's excellent as is.

Thanks for your comments. Carol, Cerrillos is a quirky place and you might see a Santa Fe style wall alongside a wall with an old radio plastered in to it, next to a wall with a stone circle mosaic, next to a picket fence, etc.  I didn't feel the surroundings added to the general feel, so I left them out. I'll post another image of Cerrillos for you later. Here's a wide angle showing nothing of interest IMO. In Cerrillos, you have to pick out details from the bigger view.

Thanks Joe, now I can get a much better feel for the place and as someone who is not familiar with that area - which must apply to a lot of the viewers, I can see through your eyes.  It also shows me how with your excellent instinct,  you have selected that very appealing image of Mr Tuff.  Very clever!  8)
