this is not exactly a nature shot, but just sharing with all here .
just returned from the Xingu native reservation park, where i attented the Quarup festival in honour of Dr Baruzzi, a public health professor that passed away in january. this was the third time in history that the natives did a Quarup festival for a white man.

i worked as a colaborator ( general practitioner ) from 1983 to 1994 there and was honoured to be invited.

hope you enjoy the image.

if the moderator allows i will post a n image from the uka - uka fight just for sharing and an illustration of the fighting... ( intertribal fights, part of the ritual )

regards
andre

Perfectly acceptable in this 'Travel and Culture'  gallery, Andre.  :)

Nice angle giving a strong diagonal through the frame and plenty of colours!

Wonderful photo and story, Andre! Love the way they are lined up for a great composition. Fits the "culture" part of this gallery beautifully. Would love to see more.
