After staying up all night star chasing, I headed to Steptoe Butte for sunrise. I've shot at the butte a few times before, but this morning was crazy busy. Photographers were circling the butte in van-loads.

Up until now, I've been predominately a Lightroom editor, only using PS for major alterations like cloning, stacking, blending, etc. I recently discovered luminosity masks and Tony Kuyper's TK Actions Panel. I have begun experimenting and trying to learn a new workflow to add to my tool kit. Any and all feedback is appreciated.

Gorgeous shot - I'll be there next week. Disconcerting that it has become so overrun with people.

Thanks so much, E.J.! When you're in the area, I'd love the opportunity to meet you if you have the time. The Palouse is only an hour or two from me.

I love seeing images from this area, the play of light and shade on the rolling fields is so beautiful. Well worth clicking on this to see it at its best!

Lovely view Jeff and no nits from me!

This is really lovely- like a patchwork quilt. The light is enchanting.
