An old tractor on a hilltop in the Palouse, Washington. I shot this tractor once before with a half moon providing back light. The back lighting robbed the Milky Way of much of its definition and contrast. I had to go back and shoot it again. This time there was no moon, just the lights on the Palouse. I used a slightly different process with this one. I'd love to hear your thoughts as I'm always striving to improve. Thanks for looking. (Sorry about the rusty tractor mucking up your star view, Carol. )

:mrgreen:Ooooooooh!  Another rusty tractor!   Thanks Jeff.

Seriously though, I really like this.

A slightly different perspective to your previous one and I think it works better.  The old tractor is more on a diagonal which mimics the path of the Milky Way and complements it beautifully, and for me the light enhances the scene as a whole.  The end result is very appealing and very nicely done IMO.

Well done!

I've gone back and had another look at your other one...........its growing on me, tractor and all.  :D

Space travel by means of agricultural machinery. I like the concept.
A great photograph is absorbed by the eyes and stored in the heart.

Very compelling shot. I like that the tractor kind of represents humankind, and perhaps our short lifespan, against the vast beauty of space.
