Yellow Moon over the Golden Gate

Taken last Saturday morning from the old municipal pier in San Francisco.

Long exposures taken near the Golden Gate always have a mild softness, a result of the nearby ever grinding St. Andreas Fault, I believe. It gives images a bit of a painting feel and I like it a lot for scenes like this.

I too have some images with "mild softness" and you have convinced me that it's not my "fault". :-)
This looks great with a dark background.

Definitely an image that should be clicked on for maximum impact. Nice! Thanks for giving me a new excuse/reason for my soft images. We have the Rio Grande Rift around here! I never knew it wasn't me! It seems to happen on my short exposures, as well. It must be a frequency thing!
