This gentleman has been working with Ospreys for over 35 years. He has been instrumental in restoring their local habitat in Maryland and this time of year spends a great deal of his time banding young birds from over 50 nests. Handling the chicks does not put the parents off (in fact for most birds that is an old wives tale). He has been able to place rescued/ rehabbed chicks in foster nests to be raised with success. This is one such chick, who is fat and healthy.
