Spectacular -- your Phase One Dolomite images are immediately recognizable! I love the smooth gradations and dimensionality. Great view and superb sky by the way.

I also agree with, Gary, that the transitions between the layers is perfect. The subtle changes in the light in the foreground are wonderful.

It's taken from a slightly different elevation and the original does have the very top of the cabin just encroaching into the frame which I did remove.

I prefer the other one because of the better light and the cabin and tree in front of it. Nothing wrong with this one, I'm just comparing it to the other.

I much prefer this new version...the position of the clouds, how the peak is not in shadow, the softness of the light.
If anything, it is the bluntness of the composition that some may question...that triangular thing going on between the two peaks and the tall pine trees dead center bottom...some may see this as heavy handed.

E J: What a spectacular scene! The only thing I'm on the fence about is the moon. It is amorphous enough and bright enough that my eye keeps moving that way. Cropping it out makes this a bit better for me but that's a less than 1¢ nit. Bravo.>=))>

Excellent. I like the way the mountain points to the Moon. Nice tonal range in the various layers.

Great image E.J. The tonality, three dimension quality and overall composition are stunningly beautiful.

Best Regards, Roman :-)
