Canon D30 16-35L @ 35mm 1/180 F8
Chas and E.J. at Pyramid lake (did I get the lake right this time?)
It was already cold, but the wind was howling and the windchill was almost unbearable.

Yup, right lake and I have never been as cold in my life. Temperature was about 15 degrees F with about a 40MPH wind and we were wet!

I boosted the lower half of the tonal range in the curves command to get more detail out of Chas, me, and the trees while not affecting the water. Hpe you don't mind :)

I've been colder :) , but it was still pretty cold even for this Canuck.
Great PS work.
I had already lightened it as far as I thought I could go (forgot to mention that in the original post) , the original was pretty dark.

My first thought was this was Patricia lake. :) But on reflection, was this taken on the island in Pyramid lake? It sure looks like a spot on the island that I have a couple pictures from...

EJ's repost is nicer, but truthfully, I don't think this shot is a nice as the others you've posted so far in this Motif.

As for the temperature, if the lake isn't frozen, it's not THAT cold. :)
