Hello EHK NatureScapers...

This summer a group of us went to St Paul Island in Alaska to chill out and make photos of Puffins, fox, seal and scenery.. One afternoon we were out in the rain on the cliffs working on puffin flight shots. EJ sat down on the cliff edge to take a break, and I took the opportunity to capture the moment.

I met EJ about two years ago on the flight deck in Bosque. Since that time he has been a continuous inspiration and source of information regarding photography as well as a great friend.

EJ, thanks for all you do for all of us...

That's it, I'm making my rhinoplasti appointment tomorrow. Thanks for the kind words Dennis!

Hi Dennis. This Motif is a lot of fun. It's really nice to put faces to names. :) What really stands out to me here though is your narrative. Having been actively interested in learning more about nature photography for a little over a year, I can't begin to total how much I have learned just from reading E.J.s posts, not to mention being able to view his beautiful photos. He is a wealth of information and incredibly kind to be so willing share in order to help others. Wonderful shot and sentiment. :)

He might be sitting down, but it looks to me like he's still looking for a picture to take. Does someone like EJ ever really take a break on a shooting day while there's still light?

This is an excellent portrait shot Dennis. Nice, clean BG really puts the focus on the subject. Just very nice overall....cool seeing E.J. in the field too!

Nice shot and story Dennis. EJ is looking a little cold here.

Paul, you are correct - E.J. takes no breaks, just a shooting machine. He's looking for that opportunity despite rainfall and shutter speeds of 1/5. :D

Nicely captured, Dennis.
