Watching the sun set at Peggy's Cove, Nova Scotia

It's been photographed to death, but I never get tired of going there.

There's noticeable falloff on the left side of the frame - I had just bought the XPan, and I didn't have the centre ND filter. I suppose if I were clever, I could figure to how to fix it in PS.

Nice shot Cliff. I see some banding in the shadow areas. I'll have to pull out a Xpan shot tomorrow :D

very nice pan. The problem with center filters is that they cause a loss of light, making it more difficult to do any action shots. But for scenics and landscapes, it really works.
The left side stands as a background support to the right with the strong suna nd sky on that side. No complaints about it, this is very nice.

One of my favorite lighthouses. I'd rotate it slightly to get the horizon straight.

Great colors and lighgting on this one. Just a wonderful shot.
Shoot in RAW because memory is cheap, but memories are priceless.

I like this pretty much the way it is. Very well done...just a small tilt to the horizon which is easily fixed.

Believe it or not, the horizon is level. The background includes part of the south shore of the cove, which rises in the background as you go from right to left. It's just too dark to make out the distinction between the water (which is level) and the land (which is not).
