From a morning at Joshua Tree NP, fall or winter 2001. I was standing maybe a foot from the crevice in the rocks thrilled with the effect of the extreme wide-angle; Steve had scrambled up and peeked over the edge. The rocks aren't actually more than 12-15 feet high but the WA perspective makes them look a lot higher! Hardest part was keeping my shadow out of the image. :)

Caught on Provia, using my then-new Sigma 15-30mm lens at 15, all other details forgotten. Heck, it could even have been Velvia.

Cool! I love how I can see just the head...his skin tone matches the rocks :)
Shoot in RAW because memory is cheap, but memories are priceless.

He's certainly well camoflaged up there! The shapes and angles are very interesting.

Since I look like a troll and also like the sandstone, Perhaps I could be a stonefaced troll??
Fun shot.

Good use of the WA lens to really exaggerate the perspective here. Well done.
