This is the companion shot to the one I posted a few days ago where Seeker, the blind lab is 'listening' for his owner to through the Kong out into the pond. Here he is retrieving it and swimming back to her. She threw it quite aways out and he went straight to it. It was really a neat to watch him.

Canon EOS3 with 70-200IS from my float in the pond, Provia 100F pushed to 200.

Nice shot. I would guess smell also helps him find the kong as well. I bet that is hypersensitive.

Another adorable shot! Love the dof on this one.
Shoot in RAW because memory is cheap, but memories are priceless.

Definitely inspirational. Head's turned a bit on this also, although it's not as accentuated here. Not a criticism, but an observation; I'm wondering if the head at an angle gives the dog a better feel for location of the sound with the dog trying to get the ears out of a parallel plane with the source of the sound. And that would make it one very smart dog!
