We had a long, hot, dry summer here in western Canada, which resulted in one of the worst seasons ever for forest fires. Here is a photo of the Lost Creek Fire in southwest Alberta, not far from Waterton and Glacier National Parks.

Very powerful photo and the slurry bomber really takes it over the top!

Nice. I was in Glacier during the fires. The plane puts it over for me.

Looking again, I like the placement of the bomber. The white smoke really sets it off.

Very powerful image.
Great timing waiting for the bomber to pass in front of the white smoke.

Where was this shot from?

This was taken from the Allison Creek road, just off of Highway 3 west of Coleman. This view is looking almost directly south. We were passing through there 4 or 5 days after the fire started.

As far as the timing goes, 6 frames per second helps...
