An abandoned homestead we found down an unmarked dirt road in central Montana, or maybe northern Wyoming. It had a mysterious feel to me (What happened to the occupants? my writerly mind wanted to know, or invent...) that I was having trouble capturing on film, so I deliberately tilted the camera to a diagonal. Then in PS I played with the Channel Mixer, setting it to Monotone, then increasing Red and Green but reducing Blue to negative 18 or so. Then I deliberately oversharpened to emphasize the scraggly foliage in front. I considered darkening the sky but thought that might be overkill. Any thoughts?
