Rebel 2000, Sigma 70-300, Velvia ( I scanned this so long I have lost all other info  )

This was shot last year shortly after purchasing my first SLR camera. This was also from my first roll of slide film which happened to be Velvia. Personally I find the tower in the middle of the sun to be pretty distracting. I still kind of like this image and find that I now have an unexplainable attraction to barns. :) All comments are welcome. Thanks for looking! [/code]

I had noticed the wire (barely) but didn't see the tower until you mentioned it. I like the sunset silhouette look, it's really cool. I especially like the clean separation between the building and the tree, and that neither are cut off in any way by the edge of the frame.

The colors in the sky are great! While I would prefer the powerlines/tower not be there, this is still a really cool shot.

Nice rich red sky and sharp;y defined silhouette. I mught be tempted to clone out the tower and power line.

I really like this red sky and nice foreground silhouettes, but would really love it with the tower and power line cloned out.

And where in the midwest would you not find power lines? Great scene & great sunset, so familiar in the midwest. The tower doesn't bother me since it fits with the tree, but I concur that the power line could go.
