(Bald Eagle) Homer, Alaska

I present an Eagle flying with the Fisherman's Memorial in the background. If I had intended on getting the memorial in the background, I might have stopped down some to get the background into better focus. Although, I admit, it isn't too bad this way. What is bad is all those pieces of driftwood in the front of the image.

Tripod Mounted Nikon D100, 500mm AFS, ISO 200, Aperture Priority, 1/800 @ F5. Cropped about 20% or so mostly from the left and top.

Awesome shot. I don't mind the driftwood too much.

Nicely placed bird in front of the monument. You certainly have some awesome eagles. :)

Great shot. I think the driftwood helps to tell the story of the fishermen and the perils they face at sea, if that makes any sense.

The driftwood does imply how low the bird is flying to the ground. I like the OOF memorial, it works just fine for me.

Love this shot. No problem with the driftwood here.
