Now that the whole tree is there, can I complain about the mege between the bottom edge of the tree and the background?

Great shot, though. I like the way you can look up at the tree but down at the land below.

Very good perspective and excellent detail for texture.

I wouldn't complain :) but where exactly are you thinking of? Thanks.

I was thinking of the bottom branch of the tree which crosses the horizon--its leaves get lost in the background trees.

I love the tree, and the distant BG, but I agree with Paul that the lower branch is lost against the horizon. Is there a time of day when the light is lower and might pick out the tree or the field?

Thanks for the clarification on where the branch crosses the horizon. On my monitor, I can see the differentiation there. What intrigues me is how to make the hole in the LLC of a contrast to be able to see through it more clearly. I can see through it now just enough to want to see through it more; spend too much time trying to see through it better, so I guess that makes it a distraction. There is a technical challenge with this image waiting to be solved. I find the perspective quite interesting and would like to see more balance in the light which would let us see the very unique geographical features of this high perch.
