Very nice! I love shots of little kids enjoying nature. Love the red poppies too! I wish we could see the expression on his face and I might like to see the tilted horizon corrected. Cropping out the trees and sky might make this a little more intimate but I do enjoy it as is. :)

I like this, and like the composition. The fact that we cannot see the child's face makes it more universal and actually adds to the image, in my opinion. Not seeing the face makes us feel like it could be someone we know, or makes it more of a feeling as opposed to an image.

Great stuff, really glad we have this gallery. :)

I like this shot. Great use of focus to narrow in on the kid.

I like this one a lot and for me think its better not being able to see the childs face.

Absolutely love it and shows the innocence of youth so well. For some reason this one is really touching to me.

Great use of selective focus. I like the diagonal line of poppies in front of the child. This looks really good cropped to horizontal, to me, losing the whole horizon.

I really like this one!
Excellent use of DOF, and the light is sweet.
I like the composition as-is, though Steve S's suggestion works too.

Very sweet! And excellent dof...a perfect moment captured, Geo.
Shoot in RAW because memory is cheap, but memories are priceless.

Actually I like the fact that the boy isn't facing the camera, but I find the tilting a little disturbing.

I'd crop off to just below the large OOF red patch, and maybe a slice off the bottom (the flowers nearest the foreground) as well. This leaves a horizontal of approximate 35mm proportions, with a much simpler (and very pleasing, IMHO) composition.

Nice shot, regardless.

This is really nice and the selective DOF gives this a strong emotional quality.

I think the photo has great impact. I like the red flowers and the black back of the exploring child in the grassy field. Can envision a crop as well as what is here.

I agree with Paul's cropping suggestion. Makes a very nice image.
